Overview

A small sample of your blood is spun to concentrate its growth factors, which are then reintroduced into the scalp or skin. It is used for thinning hair, for scarring and for overall rejuvenation, and because the material is entirely your own there is no risk of allergy.

Before your appointment

Eat and drink water normally before your appointment
Avoid anti-inflammatories for 3 days
No alcohol for 24 hours

After your appointment

Do not wash the scalp for 24 hours
No swimming or sauna for 48 hours
Mild tenderness for a day is expected

No. It works best where follicles are still active but weakening. If an area is completely bald, PRP will not bring it back — we will tell you that at consultation.
